It's kinda hot!

Whew!  I knew I was gonna stay inside as much as possible today 'cause my energy level dips when the temperature gauge rises.  Ran to Safeway to buy a few comfort foods and found a penny by my car when I came back out. Picked it up (I always pick up any coin I find) and decided to leave a painted rock in its place.  I'll have to check out the area someday and see if it's still there.  If I can remember.

Did a little watering outside, cleaned the kitchen, ran a load in the washing machine and dryer, and that's gonna be the extent of housework today.  Was going to spot clean various carpet areas but I'll wait until it cools down.

Had a nice visit in Port Townsend yesterday.  Stopped here and there and took pictures and in some places, little presents.

Judi Robbins gave me one of her painted rocks and we posed for the camera -- giggling the entire time.

Stopped by Lee & Elaine Arey's place and admired her beautiful garden area. I got a cucumber from that stop. She offered me green beans too but I didn't want her to have to go out there and pick them.

Dropped off  a few bird feeders and old flowers pots to a FB friend who works at The Printery and then I headed down to Point Hudson to hook up with Kathleen Delaney (visiting from Texas with her family) and Sharon Sofie, whose apartment was close enough that she could walk down to meet us.

That's Kathleen's daughter, Joyce, posing on the porch of the Commander's House. Man oh man, would I love to live there. What a beautiful and calming view.

This nest of birds kept flying over our heads as we visited on the porch.
Two kayaks and the ferry boat went by
And then two helicopters and a sailboat

I also made a quick stop at Sharon Wiley's house to pick up a box of crocheted squares her mother made 30 years ago but never got around to putting together for a bedspread.  I think I know how to do that but I'm not real confident so intend to ask a neighbor to teach me (or I'll try to get Mary Norton to do it for me)  She's so busy, though, I'll be dang lucky if she has the time.

Sharon is moving to a condo in the near future and is hoping her house sells soon.

I wanted to see Sharon Sofie's apartment as I knew she had a terrific view of the bay. Really a cute place and she has it decorated super nice.

Part of the view from her living room

And here's some more I took...

I also took a few shots around town...
Kai Tai Care Center from Judi's deck
                                                         19th & San Juan
                                                                       19th Street
                                                                Down by Pt. Hudson

Stopped by my sister's apartment on the way out of town and she gave me a sack of material. Was really excited to get home and look it over.  Traffic heading out of Port Angeles was backed up for miles as I was returning and boy, was I glad I was going in the opposite direction.  I think it was because of construction out on the highway but I'm not sure.  I've never seen it quite that bad. That's one of the disadvantages of P.A.  Only one road in or out.
