Friday morning

Cool temps as I crawled out of bed at 8.  I was happy my body let me sleep that long. I knew I was tired.  The phone rang the very second my feet hit the floor. It was my daughter, Mary, on her way to work so we chatted a while.  Apparently Jake got a sticker at daycare and man, are we ever proud of him!  A new kid arrived and he was scared (like Jake was at first).  He cried and cried and while some of the kids put their hands over their ears and said "too loud", Jake patted him and took him under his wing and kept saying: Your mommy will be back. It's okay.    Just melted Mary and Andy's heart when they heard that story.  He did the same with another little girl who was also crying.

I guess the extra sleep gave me some energy as I've been scooting around the house from one chore to another.  Little stuff but it all adds up.  I learned how to copy my entire email address book so I cut and pasted that onto a word document and put it in a 3-ring binder with my addresses, phone numbers, and passwords.  Cleaned up the list first, though, as four were no good anymore. I used my new 3-punch gadget and what a delight to have the paper punched correctly. I can't believe how many years I put up using that old one that I should have thrown in the trash.

I washed up a box of rocks I had in the garage as I want to start painting some again.

I also plan on spending a few hours in the back of the house sewing so I took a little time to tidy it up. That poor room gets messy just looking at it.

Mary sent me a picture of Jake posing in his new coat and a second picture of him playing "traffic" with his dad.  So cute.

Saw a photography contest running in the Leader this week so I decided to enter. Cash involved as far as prizes but I don't have any illusions there. My three pics are kinda so-so compared to what I've seen that others submitted.  That's okay, though.  I'm still campaigning for votes.  And people can vote as often as they want.  The first time you go in, you have to confirm your email address but you only have to do that once.  (I tested it out to see how it worked)

I'm still trying to figure out where all three of my photos are. Jenni, Wayne, and the twins and Mary, Andy, and Jake are all going to the Puyallup Fair tomorrow. They'll have a good time.  I used to love the fair but I doubt I could do the walking involved anymore. They're attending the Kid Rock concert afterwards.  I found a rock to try and pain online of Kid.  Maybe I'll test it out.

Saw this funny on Facebook yesterday and it just cracked me up. I guess we all know that I'm amused with poop humor.

Makes me laugh every time I look at it.

Got a doctor appt for Tuesday morning to see what I can do about my foot neuropathy and foot and leg cramps.  The last little episode I had was a tad too much over the line and frankly -- scared me a bit.  But then I'm a real weeny about most body aches and pains.  Ask anyone.  ha ha

And with that, I'm off to begin my day.
