My Sunday With Sammy

Jenni & Wayne dropped off Sammy yesterday morning while they attend the Puyallup Fair and see Kid Rock.  I went out in the backyard to wash off my white rocks and within seconds, I noticed Sammy wasn't around.  Ran into the house from room to room calling his name and finally had to accept the fact that he probably was able to get through that tiny opening in the back gate.  The one I usually block but figured he was too fat to get through.  I knew I'd have to move to another town if that dog ended up getting run over or stolen while in my custody.  I tore up and down the streets and alleys in my car looking everywhere for that small black weiner dog that was now on  my shit list! I drove to Jenni's house and circled the neighborhood again. I have a lot of fields and trees in the neighborhood and figured he was out enjoying himself.  He is always kept on a leash from house to car because he doesn't mind worth a darn and runs off.  Even going into their house requires a quick slide through the door as he'll try to escape half the time.

I thought I saw something black two blocks down my alley (near my fence area). Please God.  Don't let it just be a cat!  I tore around the block, pulled into my driveway and whew!  Heard him barking in the side yard at the sound of my car door closing.  I ran through the house to block that fence opening before he got any ideas to try it again.

He sleeps in Jenni and Wayne's bed at night but Gramma doesn't want him in her bed so he's delegated to his bed in the living room which I threw my favorite nap blanket on so he can cuddle underneath.  As I stumbled to the bathroom to pee at 2 a.m. I hear what I think is a dog rubbing his nose all over my sheets and blankets.  GET TO YOUR BED!    This morning I noticed him eyeing that fence again.

I worked on painting a few rocks yesterday. Set out my white ones collected at the beach but not sure yet what exactly I intend to do with them.

I did play around with rock painting a bit yesterday. Intend to work on them some more today.

Thanks to everyone who voted on my three photos in that picture contest at enjoypt.com    And don't forget to keep voting as there's no limit on votes submitted.

Saw a couple pictures of the kids at the fair yesterday. Looks like they had fun. I'm anxious to hear the details.

I really love this one of Jake getting to pick out a new toy at the store. (he chose a race car --what a surprise)  Who doesn't remember taking their kids to the store to buy a toy?
