Labor Day

Just a quick post this morning before I start a few laborious chores on this Labor Day.  Which don't actually amount to much - plan on rearranging my socks and underwear drawers.  ha ha

Anyhow, my last two emails last night were from Mary telling me she finally gave in and took the side off Jake's crib.  He was pretty much straddling it every night anyhow.  The second picture was taken with their baby cam.  Still awake but exploring every corner of his room.

And I loved this shot Mary took at the fair. Especially Andy, Jenni, and Maddie watching Jake on the airplane ride while Hunter is busy with his phone.  Ha Ha  Typical teenager.

I also got this video of Jake going down this VERY HIGH slide on his own.  Mary said she couldn't believe he called her bluff when he took the blanket provided and started the climb up the many steps toward the top. She figured she'd have to go up and get him before he reached the peak but nope!  He kept going and wanted to do exactly what the bigger boys in front of him were doing...setting down the blanket and taking off.  Mary said he passed the height requirement but gees, he's only two!  Something tells me things are only going to get more interesting with that kid.
