My Drive into PT

Holy Cow! It's going on 1 p.m. already. Where did my morning go?  Well, I guess I've been busy now that I stop and think about it. I ran to Walgreen's to pick up some reprints, tidied up around the house, wrote a letter or two, browsed the Internet and studied my "to-do list". Always have a list.

Woke up this morning realizing that I didn't suffer with foot, toe, or leg cramps all night.  I can't tell you how happy that made me as I figured this was going to be a nightly ordeal.  I realize it could easily return tonight but I'll deal with it.  Had to take an allergy pill an hour ago as I'm suffering with dizziness and I assume it's related to stuff in the air.  Always something with me.

FedX delivered a package to me earlier today and much to my surprise, it was chocolate covered strawberries and some cookies from Shari's Berries in San Diego.  (on ice)  What a delightful surprise. I had no idea who they were from but an hour later I get an ecard from my sister, Marian, in NC. Thank you sis!  They're delightful!

Jenni made some cookies from cake mix this morning and they look pretty darn tasty too.

My garage smells like apples today. My brother and sister-in-law gave me a box of apples from their tree. I have one of those gadgets you screw to your kitchen table that peels, cores, and slices so I'm going to fix them up and put in plastic bags and store in the freezer for making pies later. Maybe applesauce too.  Yum!  Also got some squash from Kris & Bill Rust out on Marrowstone Island and some lemon cucumbers that she grew.  Never heard of them before but I intend to eat them. I also got a box of potatoes from my nephew Eddie Forcier's garden.  Made out like a bandit yesterday.

While visiting at Bill and Kris' I couldn't resist a few shots of her goats and llama.  They have three dogs too. The dachshunds look just like Jenni's dog, Sammy.

The grass is always greener on the other side
That squash looks like it's floating on air in this picture.
Their tomatoes sure took off this season. All of their gardens looked pretty full of food really.
Kris told me she's active in the Nordland community and they had a booth at the Wooden Boat Festival.  They shucked ears of corn and could hardly keep up with the crowd.

We stopped at Dana and Lill's house before heading to Marrowstone. Happy Birthday to Dana today!

Joyce Lee rode along with me and we decided to stop at the casino for fish and chips.  Then we made a quick stop at Sequim's Walmart for a few items before heading home.  Tiring day.  As I was unloading my car, I moved this little teddy bear that I had picked up at Goodwill for a dollar.  I wanted to put it in this cubbyhole thingie in the back part of my car. (it wouldn't fit)  Anyhow, it was one of those 'Build-a-Bears' that you pay good money for if you buy them new.  As I was trying to get it to stand upright, it squealed 'I LOVE YOU!' at me.  Scared me half to death. Didn't realize it was a talker. Not the first time a kids toy has scared me.

Got this picture in an email this morning.. Mary discovered Jake sleeping outside his bedroom when she got up.  They recently removed the side slats from his crib and he's loving the freedom.  Jenni told me she has a picture she took of Hunter when she found him one morning underneath her kitchen table sleeping with a frog pillow.
I'm off to the sewing room now. My sister gave me a sack of material she didn't need and I've got some quilt ideas floating around in my head.
