I had a pretty nice birthday yesterday. Especially fun was seeing all the birthday greetings on Facebook. And I'm still celebrating, in a way. Catie, Mary, and Andy (with Jake of course) are all coming tomorrow morning. They'll be in P.A. tonight but we figured it would be easier for them to just go to the Red Lion since it will be kind of late and Jake needs to go to bed.
I woke up feeling kind of punk still but I forced myself to keep moving. I went out in the garage to get something and next thing I knew I was cleaning and sorting and rearranging. I have 15 jigsaw puzzles left but took maybe 20 to Goodwill along with a few other odds and ends I didn't really need.
I stopped at a garage sale on the way (silly me) but I only spent $3 and boy oh boy, did I luck out. The people were moving and absolutely did not want to have to take everything they had marked.
I got a couple of large Corelle Ware bowls, 3 Melamine trays, a computer mouse, a brand new Hot Wheels car, and a nice halogen stretch arm desk lamp. Since I was on a roll by that time, I decided to get busy fixing up my new office/sewing room. Am just loving my space in here. I hung my knickknack shelves and a few Port Townsend posters and such. Also managed to FINALLY figure out how to hook my VCR up in here.
Hunter and Maddie came for supper last night (Jenni made enchiladas) and Maddie gave me 7 Big Hunk bars to mark 7 decades of my life. (I do love Big Hunks)
Two pictures that I saw in the Leader this week and really liked included these....
Lawrence Street uptown
Water Street downtown (a long time ago)
And one on Facebook that caught my eye was this one....
Jenni found out today that her MS infusions are now going to be covered so she resume them. She made an appt. for next Tuesday in Seattle. I'll drive us to the Clearwater casino and we'll take the shuttle bus to the ferry.
And that's it for now. More on Sunday or Monday after company leaves.
