I just hate cable. And I hate that I can't cancel it altogether. Okay. I could cancel but I'm not going to. I need my internet. Period. Last month I invested in my own modem so I could quit paying their damn monthly rent charge of $10. (which they upped to $15) My bill today is right back where I was. Why? Because they decided to charge me $10 for using Netflix and Amazon Prime via my Roku device. Said I went over "my allotment." Funny how they suddenly can decide what "my allotment" is.
I called to complain and their solution? Upgrade my level of service from High Speed 5 Internet to High Speed 55!!!! That would up my GB allotment to 400 instead of 100 and I'd never get an overage charge. But..... High Speed 55 is $15 higher than what I'm paying for High Speed 5 now and who's to say they won't up that fee sooner or later too? I know they will.
I asked to have the local stations fee of $10 removed (seldom watch it anyhow) but nooooooo.... that's something they're required to charge and it's out of their hands. Baloney! Really ticks me off that they have the market on this and you're forced to use them or not have TV and internet at all. Monopoly that's for sure!
Seems like I go through this angry kick every time that cable bill arrives. And I bet I'm not the only one! Okay. I got that rant off my chest. Gave myself a headache in the process.
Can't believe how long this bronchial "thing" is holding on. This is day 10 and I still feel crummy. I'm going to give it two more days and if my chest is still hurting I'm gonna bite the bullet and go to the doctor. HATE the thought. I can already hear them telling me to drink water, rest, and give it time. Yeah, I'm crabby when I'm sick. ha ha
Looking forward to the debate tonight although that's probably only going to tick me off too. Tomorrow is another day.
