Mary had mentioned that they took the slats off Jake's crib and the first morning after the first night in a big boys bed, they found him laying in the doorway of his room. I thought that was odd but then Jenni said the twins did the exact same thing when their beds were changed. Jake on top pic & Maddie & Hunter below.
It's 3:30 in the afternoon and it's been a pretty wet Saturday all day. I managed to get a rice sack sewn up (my other two were getting pretty raunchy looking). I think I'll go work on my jigsaw puzzle a bit as it's getting close to being done. I've found that I can only spend just so much time on the computer as everything I try to do has to be figured out and I'm moving around like a turtle.
I'm thankful I've still got my laptop sitting next to me as I can always revert to that when I get too discouraged. Like a little while ago when I wanted to scan something. My new computer recognized my printer (and it printed for me) but it doesn't seem to understand that my printer also scans. From what I've searched online, I'm thinking I'm going to have to find a driver to download so Windows 10 can understand that the printer also scans.
I've got a universal USB cord plugged in so I can have all my little jump drives plugged in at once and not have to keep unplugging and replugging them in.
I know I've come a long ways since my early days with a computer. At least now I know how to hook up a computer and what the ports are for, etc. Still so much I don't understand, though.
Like where to find and install screen savers and how to maneuver around with all my various picture folders. Little steps. I'm calling this room "the room of three screens." With my tv, laptop and PC, it's starting to turn into an electronics store.
It's a little hard getting used to this keyboard and mouse as my laptop has a completely different feel. My old computer (on the floor by the sewing machine) is hooked up if I want to do some scanning where I want the images clearer. My printer/scanner (in the pic between the two computers) is good for printing but doesn't make as good a scan as my old one. A real nuisance to hook up but you do what you have to do.
With all my sewing materials on one side of the room, I imagine I'll be spending the majority of my day in here sometimes. I wanted to head into PT this morning for a memorial service but I don't seem to be anywhere close to shaking this cough. Some days I think I'm on the mend and then the next day, I feel all congested again and end up needing a spit cup all day long. I guess I'd better hook up my humidifier again tonight and use my inhaler as often as needed.
I'm still being bothered with toe, foot, and ankle cramps too. I don't know if I'm having any result with my little solution but last night I applied Vicks on my feet and went to bed with soft socks. I "almost" started to have a cramp once or twice but was able to hold it off. Can't help but wonder if it was just a quirk that my Vicks came into play.
Jenni is taking a nap and if I had any sense I'd do the same. So afraid I won't be able to sleep tonight. Think I'll go work on my puzzle a bit and plug in an audio book. Meanwhile. I need practice on finding my photos so here's one of my prune tree on Sept. 16 and again, three weeks later. Fall is here.
