It's finally quit snowing

Bring on the rain Mother Nature!  I suspect flooding is going to be an issue this week and next. I walked to my mailbox in tennis shoes (stupid!) and the standing water was up to my ankles.  I might as well have gone out there barefooted.  But I got my envelope mailed!  Changed pants, sock, and shoes and am sitting in front of the little space heater I bought.  Next trip outside I'll wear my boots.  Only reason I wore tennis shoes was because I wanted to put on the slip-on cleats so I wouldn't slip.
Winter can be brutal to people who don't think it through.

Jenni spent the night with her friend across town and will be taking off for Silverdale this morning (if she hasn't left already).  I hope she drives super careful and really wish she had asked someone to go with her.  I'm gonna be on pins and needles until she gets home.

Sammy was a royal pain in the butt last night.  Woke me up twice barking.  Probably heard the rain or maybe a dog way off in the distance.  I wasn't pleased and gave him a piece of my mind. Must have worked 'cause I didn't hear him for the rest of the night.

I finished watching the first season of OA on Netflix.  I really liked it and suspect Stranger Things (the latest hit show on regular tv) is similar.  I may give Stranger Things a second look.  Sometimes I give up on a show if it doesn't hold my interest right away.  My impatient side is alive and well.

Saw my 'Seen Around' notice that I sent to the Peninsula Daily News was chopped in half. Their column says to "be sure you mention where you saw your 'seen around.'  I wrote: “Christmas card in February. Tree on W. 15th Street decorated with beautiful night lights shining in the snow.”  So what do they print? -- Christmas card in February.  That paper is such an irritant anyway. Here's the tree my neighbor decorated the other night.

I spent the last couple of days going through pictures to make a "maybe" file for ones I might use in my book.  Didn't take me long to see that my picture sorting needs to be updated yet again.  I can barely keep up with it.
I've got one more chapter to write today using  various  notes that a few people sent me when I asked certain about their memory recollections.

Also need to read up on how to get the book ready for publication.  Little odds and ends like fonts and margins and page numbering, etc.  I'm not especially looking forward to inserting the photos in the text as it's always a difficult project while in Word.  But I'll manage. Slow and steady.  Have to edit AGAIN, however, on several of the chapters.

I've got a jigsaw puzzle set up in the kitchen when I need a break from the computer.  I was addicted to Facebook yesterday and posted pictures all day long.  It was making me nervous because it wouldn't stop snowing.  Here's some I posted.
