Monday in May

Sitting here by the sliding glass door and what do I see?  More rain.  Oh well, it is spring, after all. Not much on my agenda today. Sewing, reading, and napping. Yep.  This is my life.

I suspect I've been plagued with IBS off and on for some time now.  Been under the weather and tired and cold all week long.  You can only blame the blahs on old age for so long and sooner or later, you have to consider it just might be a physical thing workin' there too.  I won't go into detail but I took a couple pills yesterday to rectify the situation and today, I'm stickin' close to home.  Sigh......

Couldn't get my Roku channels to stay on or even load worth a darn yesterday so I gave up on Amazon and Netflix and stuck in a DVD.  I have all the seasons of The Sopranos and they never fail to entertain, no matter how many times I watch them.  I got in an "ordering mood" last night too and decided to buy the three seasons of The Godfather on DVD.  I have them on VHS but my VCR is only in the bedroom so I can't watch movies in the living room unless I used the DVD player. Much to my surprise, I was able to get all three movies in one set for less than $10.

I also ordered a wind pinwheel for the yard, a crossword puzzle book, and a blouse. Needed something for alumni even if it is just for the two hour social event before the banquet.  Pictures will be taken and I'm determined to keep it a secret that there's a lot of rolls under that top.  ha ha

Went to a birthday party for Bob Blaurock on Saturday. I'll add pictures below.  Afterwards, Joyce and I went to the casino for a half hour. She won $140. I lost. Going back on Thursday for lunch with Mary Gaboury and Chuck Hodgdon. He called me yesterday to catch up (lives here in Port Angeles) but I haven't seen him in several years.

Am thinking I might make a Facebook page for my book today. Not sure if it will generate any sales but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. I've got about 50 left to sell and am hoping to make some sales at alumni next month.

Got my sewing room set up to work on little string quilts (see on youtube). I like doing them as you can sit down for the whole process.  Here's a shot of my work area.
Well, I guess that looks a tad boring. Here's the rest of my pictures for today.

Her and Wayne have FIVE offers on their house already. Won't be long and they'll be moving to their new place up on Hwy 101.
