Labor Day

Sure is nice outside. Maybe when I finish this post I'll go sit in my lawn recliner on the deck.  Have managed to keep busy today; in the sewing room mostly.  I finished one small quilt and will finish another this  afternoon. Tomorrow I will finish THE LAST one.  Looking forward to finding new projects. I think I've got 16 quilts in the back bedroom to give away.

Watched a good Netflix movie last night called The Stray. It's been a struggle lately to find stuff I'm interested in on Amazon, Netflix, and Hulu but if you're persistent you can usually find something.

Main aggravation this week is a new dog in the neighborhood. Second house down. Apparently they brought this dog from her dad's house and apparently he has anxiety separation.  They leave him outside when they're gone and he walks around the yard howling and crying.  Most times  ALL DAY LONG!  Could be worse, I suppose. We've had dogs in the past (down the alley somewhere) who bark and bark and bark!  I like dogs but I don't want my peace and quiet interrupted with their bad manners!

I'm continuing to bird watch. Meaning the crows.  I suspect one is dying -- or else he's just tired and has chosen my yard to hang out in.  He'll be sitting in my yard when I get up and will pretty much stay there all day long. And doesn't fly off when I come out the door. Used to be the crows would take off if they even spotted me in the window holding a camera.  Sometimes another crow comes and sits with him. They don't make any noise like crows can do.

Jake is spending the day with Catie and Brandon at Pax West in Seattle. An annual event that C&B attend religiously.  Not sure exactly what all goes on there but they sure seem to enjoy it. Here's a picture Catie emailed me of Jake.
Wednesday I'm heading into Port Townsend for lunch at Kris Logue's house. Well, first I'm picking up Mary Norton in Sequim and then we're going to Port Ludlow to see Joanne Gilles' new house and taking her with us to eat.  Good day for pictures. I'm looking forward to it all.

And that's about all I got for now.
