Just finished two errands -- Safeway and the library. Got two audio books and 3 regular books; also read the Leader while I was there. I've been up since 7:30 and have managed to finish up all the little odds and ends jobs on my to-do list. Well, most of them. I still have to do my physical exercises for my arm. I've worked out a routine where I'm doing half a dozen different exercises once or twice a day. Two of them hurt like hell. Holding a broom and hefting it over my head ten times is probably the hardest. I fought doing these damn exercises for months as I was convinced they weren't going to help my upper arm one iota! Yeah, I think I know everything.
I was into the doctor's office a couple days back and finally agreed to have her set me up with a physical therapist. I'm still waiting for the appt. call from them. Had to get an antibiotic for a UTI --always an exciting ailment. Had a big go-around with Walmart trying to get it filled. I do hate that pharmacy but then I'm not real fond of most pharmacies. I decided to switch over to RiteAid for now. It's way closer to my house and the pharmacist seems very friendly and helpful. Plus the pills I got only cost me $2.50. I like that part the best.
As much as I hate doing these arm exercises, I "think" maybe it is helping. Not sure yet. I do seem to have short periods of no pain. Always returns but I'm thankful for even the short reprieves I get. Last night I got up at midnight because the arm pain was hurting and I sprayed it with this herbal stuff I got at the health food store. Then I took a couple ibuprofens and a inhaled two quick puffs on my pot vape stick --or whatever the hell it's called. At any rate, I was able to go back to sleep and stayed put until this morning. Most nights I end up transferring to my recliner.
I finished two small quilts this week and my stash is growing steadily. Only problem is, I'm having trouble figuring out who I can give them to. My kids and grandkids don't really want anymore of gramma's "stuff." ha ha I'm heading into Hadlock on Sunday morning as Mary is going to a halloween cookie party at a friend of hers. I have a large tin of beads and jewelry given to me by a friend for Catie and this will be the easiest way to get them to her. She's in FL right now visiting old friends from her high school years. If the weather cooperates, I hope to drive into Port Townsend and take a few pictures here and there. Don't really have anything specific in mind; just playing it by ear. Think I'll call Joyce Lee and see if she wants to ride along. We often stop at the casino on the way home to do a little slot playing and have a bite to eat.
I got into watching Ozark on Netflix (Jason Bateman) but it's done now until next year when season 3 begins. Going to surf around on the three stations I get to find some movies. Just when I'm about to give up on all of them, I discover a new batch of things that interest me.
Well, I can't think of much else to yak about today. When you don't get out and about much, your
blogs can get more boring than usual. I'll make sure to get pictures this weekend so at least I'll have new stuff to share. Have a good day.
