Neighbor's roofs still have a lot of frost so I'm sure mine does too. Very happy we aren't dealing with snow, though; or high winds that could disrupt power. I don't care for life much when that happens.
I guess it was a little after 7 when I crawled out of the sack. Did my usual morning maneuvers of opening the curtains to look at the day, check with Alexa what the temperature is, wash up a few dishes, make breakfast (oatmeal and tea), check out various websites I frequent and then play a game of bingo on microsoft.com. I don't know why I've become addicted to it but I suppose because it's just a relaxing way to sit there and amuse myself.
Had a nice dinner at Jenni's house and brought home a plate of leftovers so I don't have to cook tonight. I do love that! Sammy still isn't walking but his new wheelchair is due to arrive this week. It about drove him crazy to k\now Jenni was in the kitchen cooking and he couldn't get in there. He really whined when we all sat down to eat and he had to watch us across the room. Hunter made sure he got scraps, though.
Jenni told me that when Maddie arrived, he got especially excited and managed to pull himself across the room to get his hello in. I got lots of loud barks when I arrived too so I went to him and gave him some love.
Hunter's girl friend, Haley, came over to eat with us and then her and Hunter went to Walmart as he needed to pick up a rotor for his bedroom. Wayne had gone to The Point Casino a few nights back and (as usual) hit it big. He always wins. That night he got $1200.
I got a nice family shot and am so thankful Maddie made a point of making us do it.
I wanted to get a new picture to put up on my profile page of Facebook so I made a point of wearing my wig. I've had one of me in a red baseball cap long enough.
Dinner was the usual fare and all of it was wonderful. Funny how food that other people cook always tastes better.
Maddie gave me her password for an app she downloaded so now I can watch the new Disney+ on my tv. It is a delight too. Especially the classic stuff they're presenting. I finished up on The Walking Dead but am going to go online today to see if I can get the next season on my laptop. I did go over to Hulu and watch the first episode of Fear the Walking Dead but I'm not sure yet if I'm going to like it quite as much as the first one.
I went to Safeway early to fill up on gas and pick up three items I needed. Don't plan on leaving the house for the next few days if I can help it. Too cold out there! I spent the morning putting a border on my latest crumb quilt as well as the flannel sheet blanket I'm using for the inside batting. Tomorrow I'll tackle putting on the back and hemming it up. Then I think I might put the machine away for a bit and do other things. I have a lot of gifts already bought and waiting for me to wrap and I've got another puzzle set up in the kitchen.
Ran to the library and picked up a book I had on hold. Biography of Jerry Lee Lewis and his two cousins, Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Swaggart. I guess Mary and Andy will be home tomorrow. She sent me this picture of Jake getting on a smaller plane out of Wash DC on the way to Rochester,NY.
We played around with Jenni's Alexa yesterday and Maddie was filming it so if I can figure out how to post it, I might put it on my FB page. Meanwhile, here's a cartoon I saw the other day and enjoyed.
