Okay. My pantry and fridge have enough food to keep me from starving (yeah, like that would ever happen!) I'm ready for that damn snow we're assured of getting within the week. If my power doesn't go out (meaning my heat) then I'll sit it out indoors and watch it come down. And will take my usual amount of pictures. Snow scenes are pretty cool.
I have episodes of sneezing the past week or two (not a cold) and my eyes are absolutely itchy and red. I'm assuming it's indoor allergies. I do have an allergy pill on hand but it's not the non-drowsy type and the last time I took it, it zonked me on my butt. I'll have to be content with the artificial tears and nose spray. Probably should put a big ole kettle of water on the stove too.
Started watching Homeland on Showtime last night and got into it right away. I've already seen at least 4 seasons but it's been a while as Season 8 is on now. I'll have to binge watch to catch up as I cancelled my subscription and that starts around Jan. 24. Looking forward this weekend to football and golf again. I did search on Amazon for several old movies I kind of wanted to see again but every single one was to rent only. $4 a head and I wasn't in the mood. I do have quite a few VHS and DVDs around here that I can turn to if need be.
I set out my third Xmas jigsaw puzzle this morning but haven't prepared the pieces by turning them right side up yet. It's a pretty "busy" picture of the county fair with barns, animals, rides, people, vehicles. It'll be fun. I spent about an hour in the sewing room working on crumb quilt squares. Warms up fast in that room and I was feeling pretty chilly. I need 32 squares to go with the 32 squares of plain material and I managed to get 28 done so I'll be sewing them together in no time at all.
I'm knitting a neck scarf at night and working on a cross stitch design when I want a change. Only problem is, the cross stitch is complicated and you really have to concentrate. Think I'll look around for something to work that's a little easier on the eyes. Will finish this later...Just got a phone call that Sharon Sofie is stopping in. Good. Now I'll have a picture to post besides the ones I was going to post of Jefferson County.
Later....
Had a nice visit with Sharon and she brought cookies! Yay!
Here's some pictures I found on the Jefferson County website on Facebook. They have a lot of photos but these I found especially interesting.
Classmate Janet Worthington's (now Ellen Jenner) old family home in Quilcene
Elk in the road somewhere
The airport cutoff road that they want to lower the speed on down to 40 mph
The PT boat haven today. So much bigger than when I was a kid
