Gonna have to put another blanket on the bed tonight. Am sitting here watching it rain and wondering how long before the white stuff arrives. I hope it comes and goes quickly. I've got a Cornish game hen sitting in the frige and think I'll plop it in the crockpot in a couple of hours. I usually just put it in a small roaster in the oven but today I think I'll add potatoes and carrots and onions and chicken broth to see if I can't perk it up a bit.
I've got a jigsaw puzzle set up and waiting for me too but that'll be for snowy weather as I pass the time inside. Golf is playing right now and I'm looking forward to football later. Then Homeland on Showtime. I need to catch up binge watching all the episodes as my subscription runs out later this month. Yesterday I spent quite a bit of time on ancestry.com as I looked over my genealogy notes and decided I need to clean them up and look for more info on various cousins. I'll start with my grandpa's siblings for now -- Georgianna Stark, Elizabeth Thomason, Henrietta Patton, Martha Steele, and brothers: John, James, Zed, and Charlie. I posted on Random acts of Genealogy kindness on Facebook hoping I might find some more info that people could give. I did get some new tips on places to look.
Facebook can be a fun place to spend time too. Here's two pictures of people flying over the fires in Australia to provide animals with carrots.
Also saw a wedding picture of Alysa Moss, former co-worker at the mill. Nice lady.
A few days ago I posted a picture of this gully downtown with a creek running through it.
A couple days ago I read that the police discovered a months-old body down there. Not sure if he was pushed or fell. A lot of homeless hang out in that area. Sad situation.
I planned on driving into Port Townsend a week from today for Ruth's funeral but it pretty much depends on what mother nature has up her sleeve. I'm not about to drive over Eaglemount if snow is on the ground. Or ice. Winter can be such a nuisance sometimes.
Yesterday I spent a bit of time watching out the back window as this guy attempted to park his large trailer on the lawn of a neighbor int he alley. He never did get it in there but I assume he's going to try again today as it's sitting in the alley and he can't really leave it there.
Well, I think I'm going to have to go find a small blanket to put on my legs if I'm going to sit at this table while on the computer. Just doesn't warm up in here when I turn the heat off at night to sleep. I may have to keep it on low once the snows arrive.
Saw this on Facebook and thought....Oh my....I do that sometimes. ha ha
