Cold & Frosty Sunday Morning

Brrr..... Sure am looking forward to spring.  I forced myself out from under the covers at 7:15 because I like to watch the CBS Sunday Morning Show and I'll only have my YoutubeTV channel through Feb.  Mainly got it for golf, super bowl and the Oscars show tonight.  Am fairly content most of the time with Hulu, Amazon, and Netflix and by reading certain websites online, I can find what new movies I can watch for free or to rent on Amazon Prime.

The ones I noted yesterday include Atlantics on Netflix, Apollo 11 and Her Smell on Hulu, and Honeyboy, Midsommar, Peterloo, and The Souvenir on Amazon. Also might rent The Farewell and Waves on Amazon.  And will keep my eyes peeled for one called Wild Nights with Emily that is due out later this month.

I rented Judy day before yesterday only because Renee keeps getting awards for her performance and I wanted to see what all the hoopla was about. I wasn't impressed but then Renee isn't a favorite of mine.  Too whiny in this movie.

I plan on heading to the sewing room as soon as I finish this post. I need to get going on another quilt square. I've had problems with a couple of them and decided last night while laying in bed thinking about it that I need to take a steno book with me and record exactly what material I'm using for what template. Too boring to go into further.

I downloaded the Alexa app on my phone this morning and am hoping I can get her to play my Pandora Music once I give the request.  Hunter came over to help me with a few tips on how to use my new cellphone. One was to use my thumb print to sign on instead of typing in my code each time. Should have done that long ago. I removed some of the apps from the main page that I know I'll never use.  I don't actually use my phone for everything it's capable of but I'm happy with what I can do -- check email and Facebook, check movie data on IMDB, check messages, and take pictures. I don't use it for any banking or shopping.

Nothing on my calendar this week outside of the fact that Mary and Andy's dog, Poppy, arrives on Friday to spend 7 days with Gramma.  ha ha   I've been working on this numerology project where I found "the numbers" for each of my daughters and myself. I'm going to make them up a separate report telling them what their lucky numbers are (and other stuff).  Whether they want it or not.

My photo project is always on my mind too as I think over exactly what it is I'm trying to do. Busy work.  Saw this picture in the PA paper this morning of a homeless camp being taken down over on the east side of town.
It's become a common sight to see guys (and sometimes girls) standing on street corners with pieces of cardboard telling passerbys that they're broke, cold, hungry, and need money.  I've given money a few times but have pretty much passed up doing that anymore. Especially since my own budget is taking a hit with increased rates for insurances, utilities, food and more.

Watched the democratic debate the other night.  Wasn't totally impressed with any of them but they're all better than the baboon in office now.  Enough said on that subject. Upsets me to even think about him possibly being around for another four years.

Guess I'll get my sewing underway now. The Oscars start in the afternoon, I believe.
