TGIF

TGIF!  Will anybody ever use that again? Sigh.....

I started a new jigsaw puzzle of beer caps. Got the border done and set it aside for more work tomorrow.  Read my book for maybe 50 minutes and then I had to take a nap.  So annoying!  But I'll get through it sooner or later.

Picked up Janie to get her out for a few minutes. She couldn't believe how many cars were parked at North Beach. Clear up the road and around the corner. People just feel the need even more these days to visit a beach.  She was also surprised at the huge homes in the North Beach area.  Stopped by Bill and Teresa Arey's place and called Teresa to tell her we were outside so could they come to the door for a photo.  She told me she'd been to North Beach so many times to get beach glass that she filled a gallon bag. Then she had Bill take her out in the boat and she dumped the glass overboard so the tide would eventually wash the pieces ashore for more beachcombers to find.  Not sure how long ago she did that but I thought it was a nice idea.

I wish I had taken my regular camera with me so I could have zoomed in better.  From there we stopped by Lee & Elaine Arey's house to give another rock and take a photo.

Janie wanted to head on home as the seat belt was bothering her. Had planned to treat her to a milk shake at McDonalds since Susan sent me a gift card but the car line was about 9 deep and we didn't feel like waiting.

I got another kitchen stove today after discussing the situation again with the apartment manager. It's not really a new stove; it's from an empty apt. but I'm hoping the oven will work correctly this time.

Dinner was pretty yummy today. Two pieces of pizza, bean salad, and root beer float.  I ate one pizza and put everything else away for tomorrow's lunch.

I finally got a picture of a bird in the tree outside my window today. I thought it was a gold finch but my daughter, Sue, knows birds and says it's a yellow warbler.

And that's about it for this Friday.  Looking forward to tommorrow when I plan to do pretty much the same thing I did today.  Except I might get some sewing in.
