A Picture Takin' kind of day

My granddaughter, Catie, invited me to participate in her photo treasure hunt FB album for her birthday. It's over a week away yet but I wanted to get started on my contribution. Decided I probably couldn't find all the things she listed but I knew I had a ton of pictures of several of those topics already in my collection so I took a few shots this morning and came home to start collecting together all those photos on my hard drive that I can add, as well. I'll start working on that this week. Maybe even tomorrow as I'm always looking for projects.

Anyhow, I'll share some that I took today (that won't be in Catie's treasure chest album).  Mary Gaboury went with me and we went here and there looking for things I might use.  Both of us were feeling achy  (her back, my hips) but we struggled along as best we could.

We went to Kai Tai Park and walked around it there and while I found a couple, we were both eager to get back to the car and SIT!  I drove around town and saw a classmate in front of the American Legion. Les Walden was out with a friend.

Mary wanted to go to Safeway and get some flowers to put on her mom's grave. While there, I saw my sister sitting outside with one of her neighbors, Richard, who had just won $100 on a scratch ticket.

Maryneeded an electric skillet and a coffee pot so we went to Henery Hardware for that. Crowded store and parking lot as they're one of the few businesses open.   I had a gift card to McDonalds so we drove through there and bought chicken nuggets and fries for lunch. Yum!

We went out to the Catholic Cemetery but it took us a few minutes to find her folks' grave but we did.
Heading back home we saw two more classmates in their front yard. Maureen Ellis McKenney and Dave Brooling, who is Mary's cousin. We stopped to chat and I had Maureen take a picture of me and Mary too.

I managed to get two loads of laundry done before we went on our outing so now I have to get myself into the bedroom and start putting it away. A chore I've never been fond of. I was going to do some sewing and reading today but I'm too tired for both of them. Fresh air and exercise wear me out!
