Sunny Sunday of Memorial Weekend

My day is moving along at a nice comfortable pace.  It's almost 3:30 and my dinner should be delivered in the next hour.  It'll be a surprise as they haven't distributed menus yet. Yesterday it was a toasted Reuben sandwich and they make them pretty tasty.

I started to work on some of my quilt squares for my pandemic quilt and after sewing two rows together to see what it would look like, I'm reminded again that I have no sense of color or design. In other words, it looks like hell.  I have no desire to keep going on it but am not sure what to do with all the work I've put into it already. It's about 18x72 and it's UGLY! Here. I'll show you.

I set my "work of art" aside and started in on a couple other little things I had in the works. Realized that my sewing thread was getting stuck in the machine way too often so I took it apart to clean it a bit. Good lord!  I've got to remember to clean it more often. Look at the lint!
I remembered I had bought this little sewing machine vacuum set so I pulled it out but it doesn't really fit  my vacuum that well so I ended up using an air can and brushes.
My sister called and wanted to drive her little chair up to Laurel Grove Cemetery to see Clarence's grave and visit our grandparents. Saw two people we knew up there. Sheryl Coyote and Don Wilson.  I sure do enjoy the views from that hill.

A couple days ago I was having a hell of a time getting the dryer down the hall to take my quarters. One kept popping out over and over and over. Finally....I looked at it and discovered it was Canadian!  Been a while since I was gyped with Canadian coins.

Well, I'm running out of steam already so I think I'll make it a recliner afternoon and get up tomorrow to start some new sewing project and my latest jigsaw puzzle that awaits.  It got my first Games Magazine yesterday and intend to try and do all the puzzles and crosswords. Such a goal!

Here's the latest picture Mary sent me of Poppy --admiring and begging for banana chocolate chip cookies.
