Last Day of May

Been a few days since I wrote on this blog and I'm not sure why I'm even bothering to write now as nothing much has happened around here. But oh well....  I'll find something to ramble on about.

I did have a nice surprise when Catie and her boyfriend showed up below my window about an hour ago.  She called me and said "Hi nana, which window is yours?"  haha  I thought she was talking about some window on my computer.

They had visited the bunkers and were on their way to Port Angeles next.  I had a small gift for Hunter's girl friend since she graduated high school so I had Catie carry it on to Jenni's place.
I keyed in Port Angeles High School Scholarships 2020 to see the video of the awards she got.
Each student had to list a book that described their life. Interesting.

Here's what we had for dinner today.
Chicken strips, onion rings, fries, cottage cheese on lettuce, lemon jello. Not sure what those round things were, Not tater tots but some kind of fish I think.

I spent a couple hours this morning working on my next batch of crumb quilt squares using odd pieces of material that people have given me. I've got 31-6" squares sewn and cut so far but have many more to complete.  Am having a hard time staying focused on the same project and keep losing interest.
I took a break from my writing project as I found that wasn't holding my interest either. I'll get back to it tomorrow, though.  Once I get going I know it'll be fine. I'm writing on my three grandmothers and starting with the one born first -- Lillian Nisbet of Chimacum shown here with her family. She's in front.  Her dad was a big shot in the county.

Tomorrow marks the 59th anniversary of my graduation from high school. With that in mind, here's a picture taken on the campus that sunny June day of 1961. Always liked this time of my life. Think I'll post this on Facebook too.
