I picked up Mary G. at 9 and took my first picture of the day --Dave building a new deck for Mary's nephew, Mike McConaghy.
We picked up Joanne at Fat Smitty's in Disco Bay and drove to Mary Norton's house in Sequim. She wasn't home but had left a package on the porch for me. Several months ago, Sharon Wiley had given me this afghan her mother had started several years before and never finished. I knew I probably couldn't do it justice as I'm not that great at crochet but Mary (bless her heart) took the project over. It's so pretty. I'm going to surprise Sharon (maybe tomorrow) and take it over to her so she can pass it on to her daughter. It's a large double bed size.
Mary lives real close to the Dollar Tree so that was our next stop.
Then it was across town to Walmart. I dropped about $50 there but Mary spent double that I think. She got some great buys.
Next stop was at Sue & Paul's place so I could drop off a pair of pants I thought she might be able to use.
Then we drove across town to Jenni's house. I was anxious to see Sammy. I noticed his bark is much older sounding now. And he moves slower. That happens.

I loaded up my car with some things I had stored there and then we drove down to Ediz Hook so I could gather some rocks for painting.
We headed to the casino but stopped at McDonalds to get some fries. Brisk drive-thru business only.
The casino was pretty crowded but most everyone had masks on. We wore gloves too. Mary picked up a free grill the casino was giving away and while I waited in the car, I took this picture of guy parked nearby. Just because I thought it was unusual looking.
I got back to my apartment around 4 and was thankful I had both my push cart and my walker in the car as I was able to unload the car and make just one trip pushing everything.
Tomorrow I plan to take things easy. Might paint rocks, might do some piecing with crumb quilt odds and ends. I will be watching golf. Looking forward to that.
Sad note: my cousin Jimmy (who always made me laugh) died this morning in Vancouver, WA. He was 72 and had suffered from emphysema for several years.
