I was kind of surprised to get up and see it had rained last night. Looks kind of gray and overcast out there and a barbeque is scheduled for the courtyard tomorrow. I won't be going down for that, though.
Had a bit of excitement this week. One of the caregivers for a couple of the tenants collapsed. She was in the room across from me and the poor tenant (with dementia) was in the hall yelling for help. She couldn't remember the caregiver's name. My door was closed so I wasn't sure what was going on but then I heard the guy next door (who also has a little dementia going on) was over there and trying to help. I called 911 as I could tell right away she had had a stroke. They flew her to Harborview for an operation and she's resting there now. Scary stuff but I'd better get used to it, especially while living in this building. It's gonna be me on the floor sooner or later.
I finished my book but it was a struggle as reading continues to put me to sleep. I've started the next one in that series (The Settlers) and intend to rent the video for the first two books. Was able to give the rest of my VHS movies to a woman (daughter of a friend) so while I was out at my car transferring them, I decided to go fill up on gas. Should have waited. Traffic was snarled from the top of Sims all the way through town. And that included the side roads. Demonstration on Water Street.
I decided to head over to Lee and Elaine's house to say hi before I went back home. Their son-in-law, Bob, was there with another guy working to remodel the bathroom to put in a walk-in shower.
I watched a pretty decent movie on Hulu last night called 'The Next Three days'. Starred Russell Crowe and while it was ten years old and I'd never heard of it, it held my interest all the way through.
I spent a couple hours this morning catching up on paperwork. I'm seeing a new doctor this week and while the pages they sent me to fill out are the exact same ones from the nurse I'm seeing in Sept, I decided I might as well complete them both and mail off. I do know they can go online and see all my records from Port Angeles, as well. But you gotta jump through the hoops and I'll do it.
The left hip pain with what I guess is sciatica continues its run but I am noticing a lessening now and again. Not gone but I'm not in as bad a mood as I was. I'll be happy just to get a diagnosis one way or the other. My plans for today are to paint a few rocks, read a few pages, watch golf, maybe watch a movie, play solitaire online, and if I'm real ambitious, maybe attempt to make a tote bag. We'll see. I always start off with big plans and peter out as the day goes on.
Already starting to feel a bit muggy in here but I've got a couple fans waiting to be put to use, if need be. And that's it for now.
