My Monday

The day started off as usual with me still being tired and not wanting to get up. But I don't seem to have any say in the matter anymore. Various body parts make the decision and I always lose. Whatever. At least I'm still waking up. I took a shower and while raising my left arm to dry it off, I managed to pull a back muscle. Good Lord!  This is what happens when you don't stretch and exercise daily.  Or in my case...hardly ever!  It was a pretty significant pain and I figured I was headed for the recliner with a heat pad for the rest of the morning. Poor me!  But I worried for nothing. I do that a lot.

Breakfast arrived but I wasn't all that hungry as I had a piece of toast and a cup of coffee an hour earlier. I did eat the biscuit and the small piece of watermelon, though. The scrambled eggs was some kind of spicy meal I can never remember the name of. Didn't appeal to me so I tossed it out.  Then I did a little rock painting and went down to my sister's to pick up a package to take to UPS.  She had ordered with my Prime membership so it went back free but first I had to call Tami Hewitt (I started to type Wynette) 'cause I didn't know where the UPS store was and wasn't entirely sure how it worked when you didn't have to print a label yourself.  Anyhow, that was pretty easy so on the way home I stopped at Safeway to get a money order and some coffee. And ice cream. I sliced the icecream and put it in a plastic container. Meanwhile, I had seen this freezer container online that looked pretty interesting so I sent for it. Figure I could use it for the ice cream I opted to slice and other stuff too.

I gave the caregiver next door one of the rocks I had painted as a thank you for two maple bars she had given me a couple days ago. Showed her the bags I had recently made with the crumb quilt wall hangings and she said she'd really like to buy them as her twins' birthday was tomorrow. I was going to gift them but then I never know for sure who is willing to take my stuff so I said sure, and she gave me $10.

I watched The Emigrants and This New Land (rented from Amazon) the last couple of nights and really enjoyed them even though I'd seen them before. They were both 3 hours long and in subtitles so I didn't get too much cross stitch done. Tonight I'm watching the third movie --Come back to the Five & Dime Jimmy Dean Jimmy Dean. Stars Cher, Kathy Bates, Sandy Dennis, and Karen Black. I've seen it a couple times already but it's one of those movies I like watching again.

Dinner tonight was a tossed green salad, turkey sub sandwich, bowl of green pea sound, and a small ice cream sundae. I'm setting the soup aside for tomorrow night's dinner as I ordered an alternate of the hot dog. They make a good hot dog.  The salad I'll save for tomorrow's lunch.  Could this get any more boring?   But oh well, that's my life most of the time.
