My Wednesday

I just turned off the local news. Don't know why I had it on in the first place as all it does is tick me off.  Turned to Turner Classic Movies and found Tarzan the Ape Man. Much better.

It was nice and sunny out today.  I know that because I looked out my windows several times. Never did go outside myself. Feeling a little under the weather.  Allergies partly I think. I won't go into details on the other stuff -- cause it's BORING!

I took a couple of naps today. I suspect my not being able to sleep through the night is contributing to my daytime fatigue. Well, duh!  I did force myself to get a couple jobs done, though. Been slowly going through my genealogy notes to try and get them in better order. I made pretty good progress but will start again tomorrow on a couple more people.  Focusing on my mother's side of the family for now. Here's a picture of my great grandfather (in the middle) named William Adelbert Stevens. Went by Bert. I'm fairly certain the lady is Avalrelda Doris (Ava), his wife and her dad, James Peterson on the left.

Yesterday was the 38th anniversary of my divorce. I should have sent me flowers. haha  That gives me an idea. I'll have to post some old me and John pictures on Facebook. That'll be good for laughs.
Here's one taken about a month before we married.
And here's Mary Gaboury catching my bouquet at the Methodist Church. Sadly, all three people in the background of this picture are now gone.

I've been forcing myself to sit down and read my book and happily, I'm enough into it now to be hooked. I read it back in the 70s I think. Onto a Good Land by Vilhelm Moberg.  Yesterday I was in a book ordering mood so I picked out three at thriftbooks.com where my granddaughter is office manager. The Trail to Ogalla by Benjamin Capps, The Group by Mary MacCarthy (saw the movie recently) and Fatal by Michael Palmer.

I happened to look inside my toaster today and ugh!  I wish there was a way I could get in there to clean out the crud.  I can empty the tray okay but there's a lot of caked on crumbs that won't let me get cleaned. Hope it doesn't start a fire.

And that's about all I have for today.
