It's noontime and I'm sitting here with my hobbies all around me. Today is TV time with golf and Seahawks game, jigsaw puzzle, and tying of yet another pucker quilt. And there will be puckers, I've no doubt about that. But I'm okay with it.
I headed down to the activity room about an hour ago to get my virus vaccination. Was surprising how I didn't feel a thing but have heard my arm may be sore in days to come. I 'm okay with that. Will get my second one in a month. They had us sitting in the hall waiting our turn (it went pretty fast) and my neighbor sat down next to me. Well, 6' apart, that is. After a bit, he asked me my name. haha I pulled my mask down and said: It's me, Earl. Your next door neighbor. I suppose wearing my wig threw him off. I intended to get my picture taken while down there and I really needed to look as good as I could what with my big fat arms! Some of the folks here have some dementia and other things going on. Makes me worry just a tad that I could easily walk down that road if I live long enough. One guy who was getting a shot at the other table the same time as me was sitting there with his shirt completely off and his pants down at his ankles. Guess it was good he had boxers on and I wasn't all that interested in looking at him.
Happy Birthday to my son-in-law, Wayne!
I bought a mega ball and a power ball ticket this week. Got ZERO numbers on both. So much for my plan to improve the life of everybody I know. ha ha
Went to the library and picked up my new card and a couple books. One is a biography on Charles Dickens (I know. Sounds boring but we'll see) and the other is short stories by Joyce Carol Oates.
My doctor appt was cancelled for Monday because the doctor is going to be away for two more weeks. Hmmmm....wonder if he's having to quarantine. I did insist to be signed up with someone else as I need my legs looked at. Not that they're something to behold. haha I go in Wednesday morning.
I surfed around on my various roku channels trying to find something worthwhile to watch. So tired of the lame selections we're given. Too much murder, thugs, supernatural, or sugar sweet baloney. I signed up again for Acorn as it's only $6 a month and I generally like a lot of the British shows anyhow.
I finally got my reprints from Shutterfly yesterday. Ordered them Dec. 17th and they emailed me they were at UPS in PT on Dec. 22. Somehow, they never showed up here until Jan. 7th. And then management here has taken it upon themselves to quarantine any pkgs we get overnight. They drive me nuts with their gestapol tactics!
Well, the Seahawks are getting ready for kickoff so I guess I'll settle in with them for a while.
