Mid week of Week One

I got up this morning and had some yogurt with granola stirred in, an oat bran/cranberry muffin, and cup of tea.  When breakfast was delivered at 9:50, I wasn't hungry so I stuck it in the fridge and now I'm having it for lunch. Scrambled egg, sausage patty, muffin, and grapes.  I read the newspaper online, did my crossword puzzle online, surfed through Facebook, and played a game of bingo and two of solitaire.

Laurie, the activity director came around about 11 with her cart full of drinks. I saw eggnog and since I haven't had that in well of a year, I decided that would suit me fine. I got one of my own glasses out of the cupboard so she could fill it up. I'll make it last a day or two, at least.

Looked up while at my computer and saw a guy on the roof across the way. Cleaning gutters.  So I did what I do...took his picture.

Once the sun came out, the glare hitting the opposite wall was just too hard on my eyes so I hung up a quilt piece. Then I was curious what it looked like from the ground so I took my morning walk down that direction.

I had two things on my to-do list today. Clean up some more files on my computer and pictures. Also intended to look over the material stash in the bedroom and see if there was anything I could clean up there.  I had various quilt squares that I had played around with and then lost interest so my big plan was to sew them together for a crazy quilt look and surround it with whatever material I had enough of. May look nuts but once I add batting and backing, it will suffice.
At least I'm making my way through the two bins of material (so I can get more)  haha

I went online last night to see if I could figure out what the local library has onhand that I could reserve and pick up.  Don't know how long it takes to hear back but hopefully, I can head up there tomorrow and get my new card and 4 things I requested.

The lady I picked up at the hospital yesterday afternoon said she has to go to her Sequim doctor on Jan. 21st so I'll be driving her up there. I need to drop off a gift for Mary Norton and hit the Dollar Tree too.

After all my hoop jumping trying to contact UPS and Shutterfly about where my order is,I finally gave up and ordered the set again through Walgreens in Sequim. They'll mail them to me as I don't plan on using Shutterfly again.  And this morning...guess who I heard from.  Shutterfly says UPS is going to deliver my order soon and it's on the way. Well, we'll see.

I tried out one of the movies in my Amazon queue last night. A 1948 black and white film called He walked by night.  It had a 7.2 rating from IMDB and was touted as a film noir, partly documentary. Starred Richard Basehart and Jack Webb. I tuned in but found it totally boring. It was amusing in parts, though. Especially when one of the detectives in the squad room asked for a light, lit his cigarette, and threw the match on the floor. haha  Yeah, it's the weird things that amuse me.

Sure am glad to see the wind is gone and the sun is out. That weather was getting on my nerves.  Well, I guess that's all for this Wednesday. I've got my puzzle to play with a bit later but right now I think I'll make a quick run to Safeway and pick up my Mega and Power Ball tickets.  The girl who waited on me yesterday forgot to give me them, and I'm hoping I didn't pay for them. I don't thnk I did but sometimes I space out. If you can believe that!
