Getting ready to head for the recliner so I can surf and surf and find nothing much to watch. I have to remind myself to check out documentaries more as I'm usually satisfied when I finally pick on.
Jenni sent me a recipe today and I'm going to try it out ('cause I've always been a fan of cake!)
1-2-3 Cake
You need two boxes of cake mix. One can be any flavor you
prefer, but the other MUST be Angel Food cake mix.
Mix them together (shake them in a big bowl).
Then simply store the mixture in an airtight container until
you get the urge for dessert.
Then just put three Tbsp. of the dry mixture in a big coffee
mug and stir in 2 Tbsp of water.
Microwave it for one minute and you will have a single
serving of cake!
Top with fruit, ice cream, whipped cream or whatever!
Awesome for those of us who want something sweet every now without making an
entire cake!
I spent most of the day sewing. Tomorrow I'll play with my jigsaw puzzle. I had a 1000-pc set out but decided almost immediately that it was way too hard so I put it away and pulled out another with 750 pieces.
Sewing is usually relaxing but today that wasn't really the case. I had to replay this video several times on how to make what I was making -- because my memory SUCKS! It was up and down, up and down, cutting, recutting (when I did it wrong), ironing, sewing, turning, pressing, and on and on. I was tired when I started and the heat doesn't help my disposition either. Yeah, I'm a whiny baby today.
Will see a new doctor tomorrow but not until 4:30 in the afternoon and apparently, I'm getting 20 minutes. That ought to be interesting. Or not.
Next week I'll be locking up the building at 7:30 at night while Trish house sits for her sister. The maintenance guy will unlock in the morning but I'll have the keys to let anybody in to their apartment if they accidently lock themselves out.
Mary comes Saturday and next Wednesday I'll head to P.A. and Sequim with Mary Gaboury. Think I'll buy a pair of shoes. My feet hurt all the time.
Nothing much new in the building except the manager insists the white stuff in my oven is oven cleaner residue and not mold. And she could very well be right. The oven door doesn't have a window and it could be the light was being left on and that was heating up the inside of the oven. I'll admit it when I'm wrong.
Apparently, we had a resident pass away a couple days back. Unfortunately, she was kind of a loner and had laid dead for days before anyone realized she was missing. The one woman who did look in on her now and then was gone for over a week; otherwise it might not have been that long before she was discovered.
Below are various pictures I saw on Facebook or I took outside my window when they were blowing bubbles. Catie and Louie stopped in on their way back from camping at Salt Creek.
