Noon Time

I moved my sewing machine to the living room and have been busy busy busy ever since.  I cut out a dozen runners (with Xmas material), along with an apron, 2 adult bibs, 10 pot holders, and half a dozen mug rugs. Basically cloth doilies but youtube has a neater name for them.

I decided I really needed to thin down my material collection as I have way more than I can use. I advertised it on the Jefferson County Everything and Anything page group on Facebook.  Have two people coming this afternoon (one of them I know) to pick up some Christmas designs. Another guy said he'd like to pick it up for his wife so I messaged him back that I don't have anymore Xmas but other holidays, if he's interested. Waiting to hear back from him.  It wasn't until I started looking inside each and every bin stacked in my bedroom that I realized just how much I had.

I've had my windows open all week well into the evening as it stays pretty warm in here even with the wind blowing.  I just fixed a pitcher of lemonade and a ham and cheese sandwich. Will eat lunch when I finish this post and then I'll get back to sewing.  Besides the projects I've cut out, I have a big bin of scraps that I will work on off and on piecing together for future squares for a crumb quilt. Similar to this wall hanging.

Body wise, I'm still having my issues.  And I know this is just the way it's going to be from here on out. My sciatica makes me very unhappy but I'm doing the exercises daily and hoping for the best.  My left hand fingers are acting up by going numb again. I've had this before and went to a nerve doctor for tests. He said I needed carpal tunnel surgery (on both hands) but I've decided to put that off until I'm really suffering more. It kind of comes and goes now.

My headaches finally let up and I'm sure it was sinus. Might still be sinus even though I take a sudafed now and again.  My eyes are uncomfortable and VERY sensitive to light so that could be the cataracts or just plain old age. Have an eye appt set for next month.  Also getting in on the act are my teeth. Last year I dealt with toothaches that seemed to travel around from one area to another. I figured it was sinus but decided I might as well see a dentist just in case.  Got x-rays and he said there wasn't really a tooth issue but the gum nerves looked inflamed so he thought sinus too.  Paid for the x-rays (not cheap) and went on my way.  I haven't even  had my teeth cleaned in years!  I know. Bad Joyce.  Anyhow, since my teeth have been hurting (both up and down) I called yesterday to make an appt. Figured I was overdue for a cleaning anyhow and I needed to see if this pain was again sinuses acting up or if it was decay.  Guess when my appt is.  Feb. 21, 2022!  Yep!   She did tell me, however, that if the pain gets bad, they'll take me in right away to assess it. Meanwhile, I'm taking an ibuprofen if it flares up and waiting to see what happens. It's always something.

I watched a pretty decent movie on Hulu the other night - The way way back with Steve Carell. I can't think of anything all that interesting going on in the building. We have 3 empty apts on this floor and I hear a lady downstairs is moving soon.

Sorry this is so dull but my life kind of runs along those lines from time to time.  Have a good week!
