Santa's Day is almost upon us

It's a little after 3 pm and I am definitely ready for a nap.  I went to bed very tired last night and then Mr. Insomnia paid a visit.  I didn't get up but I sure tossed and turned all night long.  Too many things on my mind, I suppose.  I got up at 7 and did my usual morning routine -- shower, tidy up the place, small breakfast (coffee & toast), and surf the net and do the crossword puzzle.

This guy and his wife (Virgil Rondeau & Cindy) came over around 11:30 to pick up this old doll I had posted on Facebook to see if anyone wanted it.  In exchange, they brought me a wonderful tin of cookies. I always like other peoples' cookie gifts more than the ones I give.  I don't have a lot of variety 'cause I just get too weary too fast.  I went to Safeway 'cause I needed maybe half a dozen items. I'll stick to my routine of going super early as the parking lot and the store were CROWDED.  And I couldn't find two things on my list so I had to go to QFC.  That store has its plusses but one thing I hate is that they don't have any self-checkouts and you always have to stand in line.  Standing in line is probably the hardest thing for me. Not because I'm impatient (although I am) but because my legs hurt and I need to sit.

I also stopped by Bill and Teresa Arey's place and picked up a couple pkgs of smoked salmon he gifted me. Yay!  I intend to take them to PA on Saturday. IF it doesn't snow, that is. Got my fingers crossed. I plan on leaving at 8 to have breakfast with Jenni and then I'll stop in Sequim to say hi to Mary Norton and head back home to beat the white stuff. I'll be swinging through Chimacum too as I'm picking up one of their free Christmas dinners at the Community Center. Drive-thru. So thankful for that.

I went to The Point Casino with my sister, Janie, yesterday, and her caregiver, Kathy Arthur.  We played bingo on these electric cards. Not my cup of tea as the card does everything for you and you just sit there and watch it. Plus none of us won. There's always that!  haha    I'll attach pictures below.

Grandson Jake is 8 years old today. Had a party with friends a few days back and his regular family party today where more neighborhood boys came over for cake. I'll attach those photos too.  I was given another box of material scraps the other day so I'm anxious to dig into it and see what's there. Maybe tomorrow. I'm going to take a sewing break today and rest.

And that's about it for now. I could type more but I'm yawning too much and really need that nap.
