Last Sunday of February

It sure is nice out today. At least so far. Yesterday the wind blew all day and all night. I'm sure we'll have rain before the day is over but for now, it's sunny and calm.  I've managed to get quite a bit accomplished so far this morning.  I deleted a dozen or so videos I had posted on Youtube that were pretty lame. Most were only a few seconds of a minute but of no interest to anyone but me.  Ha!  Most of the ones I have on there are grandkids and some alumni activity.

I had Emmett Johnson down the hall over to watch himself on Youtube doing Karoke. I tried to play them for him in his apt as he's only down the hall and around the corner. Quite close as the crow flies as I can see his window from my window. But.... my wifi wouldn't stretch that far which I thought was weird. Anyhow, he wanted to see the video so he came down here to watch.

I've did a little cleaning out and rearranging again. Always brings me a lot of pleasure. I took all my paints and some craft supplies and put them in a small bin on the shelf of my closet so that freed up some drawers I have near this table.  My jigsaw puzzle is taking up a lot of room but it's manageable with the way I've got it fixed up. Joy Bland is coming by this afternoon to give me a couple more puzzles too.

My daughter Mary stopped in yesterday. She had taken Jake to Catie's place in Kent to spend the night and then she was going to Clearwater Casino to meet up with three girl friends. They got two rooms and I'm sure had a good time.  She also swung by Gig Harbor where her dad was visiting his wife at the nursing home there. She wanted to take him some pumpkin bread she had made.  I got some too and boy, was it good.

While here she was nice enough to put together this book shelf for my friend, Sue, down the hall. What a sweetie!  She had also brought me various presents and I LOVE GETTING PRESENTS!  She gave me a pair of pajamas she bought at Costco and I needed some.  Also gave me a handful of quarters for the laundry room and a new external hard drive. She had a couple extra.

I am thrilled to have this. My old one gave up the ghost and I had to pay $90 at the computer store to have him extract the data I had on it. He put it on this tiny little jump drive shown below.

Now I need to clean up all my files and make sure they're backed up in different places. (Like I was supposed to do and didn't get around to)

I ate my first frozen dinner (the ones delivered free on Thursday) last night and it was pretty darn tasty. So relieved. I had meatloaf, potatoes, and veggies.  Love that I have them in the freezer waiting for me.

I sent for two counted cross stitch books at thriftbooks.com last week and both arrived yesterday. I am so pleased with them. They're just what I wanted.  There were several designs that should I decide to do them, will leave me with an ongoing project that is bound to take months to finish. Lots of smaller stuff too but I'm thinking I just might try the large designs and get them framed up.  I just hope I can frame them myself because taking to a a frame shop is soooooo expensive. Here's five I scanned in to decide on later.

I signed up for Apple TV with my roku device yesterday. The first week is free so if I don't find enough to amuse me, I'll probably cancel before the week is up. Tonight I want to watch a movie called Coda.

Golf is on now. It was on all day yesterday too. They're playing at this Florida golf course that has alligators and ducks and lots of water.  Tons of balls have gone in the water.

Just looked at my upcoming March calendar and there isn't one single thing written in that I have to do or go to.  Yep. My life is settling in to one day just like the day before. And that's fine with me!

Think I'll fix lunch now. I didn't have breakfast and I'm getting kind of hungry.
