I kept busy going from one thing to another. I worked on genealogy a bit and posted on my mule blog, which is what I'm calling it for short. Discussed my grandpa's oldest sister and tomorrow I'll write about her kids. I enjoyed learning about that family the most of all the siblings Grandpa had, athough his brother, John, was interesting too.
Anyhow, I am trying to get back on track and not eat like a horse. I was doing real good there for a while 'cause I just wasn't hungry but then I got on a sweets kick and it was off and running. I gained 4 or 5 pounds but that happens every time I let that sweet tooth have free rein. I did okay today but my neighbor down the hall who loves to cook brought me a wonderful piece of carrot cake and I wasn't about to say no. I'll save it for after dinner.
When I got weary of genealogy I headed to the sewing machine to work on piecing some scrap material pieces together. Only spent 15 minutes on that as it gets tedious quick but I need to do it every day to get the bin empty. I also put a zigzag stich around this piece of cross stitch material. I decided my plan to do this super fancy intricate complicated large cross stitch design was probably not going to happen. Once I looked at all the various parts of it, I realized it would take me a year and I'm not in the mood. I do want to cross stitch, though, so I took pictures of what I wanted to try, downloaded them to my computer, and then printed the designs out. I needed to zigzag the edges so they wouldn't ravel quite as much. These are the ones I'm going to work on.
I may try to find some beat up old frames at Goodwill and see if I can get them framed. I'm not real good at framing but if I take my time, I might be able to turn out something halfway decent.
