Tuesday morning

Not much to write about this week. Have been feeling poorly but I could write about that every day and bore everyone to tears. Including me.  Seems like I'm tired a whole heck of a lot more than I should be. On the other hand, so what?  At least I don't live in Ukraine.  Those poor people.  I can't turn the news on for too long a period as it just wears me down.  Someone needs to take out that little weasel Putin.

I did a little posting on my genealogy blog today but if I'm even a little weary, the blogs aren't that interesting. Well, come to think of it, they're probably only interesting to me anyhow.  I'll keep at it as I find the whole subject of genealogy interesting.  The 1950 census is to be released next month but I imagine it will be months before it's indexed and available to look at online.  It'll be the first time I get to see my name in a census..

I finished a 1000-pc jigsaw puzzle yesterday.  I had to rearrange my living room a bit to make room for it and while it was fun, at the same time, it wasn't.  I'll stick to 500 pieces. This one got fun towards the end more than at the beginning.

I wanted to change the living room after I finished the puzzle and put my laptop up on the other side of the table so I'm not looking out the window.  The glare off the building across the courtyard below is so hard on my eyes I have to shut the curtains. And I don't like to have to shut my curtains.

I'm going to work on my material scraps again today.  Just messing around sewing them together. A neighbor lady came by last night asking if I'd sew a couple of seams for her as she was wanting to make a purse out of an old blanket she said she got at the free store. Also said she was saving material so she could make a quilt by hand. Obviously didn't have a lot of money as she planned on doing this without the benefit of a machine. I dug around in my stash and gave her an armload of material to add to her supply. Made her happy so that made me happy.

Nothing much else planned for this week. At some point (once she gets a date) I'll be driving to Vancouver to stay at Mary's house while she recuperates from surgery.  She's getting a cat scan tomorrow so hopefully, we'll have more information to go on.  Jenni will go with me as I'm way too chicken to drive that far alone.  Next month I'll have a wedding to attend for my granddaughter, Catie.

I lost a cousin yesterday. Lee Arey who had been in declining health for years. Below are some newspaper articles in my file about his activities.

                                                                          1967 derby
                                                                        1964 derby

Lee as rabbit at Rhody Festival
Lee as boy scout at kids parade. Yeah, that's me in front. I used to be cute.

I watched 4 seasons of The Crown on Netflix the last couple weeks or so. Looks like Season 5 is due out this year. Looking forward to that too.

Guess I'll get to the sewing basket now.
