windy Sunday in January

I wish I could wake up some morning and not feel achy and sore all over. Frankly, I'm sick of it!  I have this foam mattress top that is very comfortable to sleep on but for the last year or so I've developed this habit of taking it off my bed, putting it back on again, and then taking it off. All in the hopes of trying to wake up with my body not hurting.  When I put it on, it's because I've awakened with sore shoulders and sometimes sore hips.  I think perhpas I need something firmer, so I take it off again. You'd think after this much back and forth effort, I would get it through my head that my soreness is probably not related to the foam. But alas, that's not the way my brain works and I'm already thinking I might take it off tomorrow. Why? Because I woke up with a low back pain and hip pain. So what else is new? Nothingl

For whatever reason, though, today has been one of body achiness that just hangs on. Usually once I get up and moving, things settle down. Today. Not so much. I've already changed my shoes because it was hurting to walk. Then I put a foam rubber thingie under my toes as they were especially sore. Could be I have some arthritis in my toes but then I'll never know for sure.  I wonder if it's the cold weather making me so miserable today. Not that I'm in horrible pain; just enough to make me irritable and me want to stay off my feet. And yes, I know exactly how I sound.....like an old lady who's not accepting that life can be a little difficult as you age. Blah blah blah....

I may have to take a few puffs on my vape pen. Sometimes I forget I even have it. I'll go do that now.

I got up at 7, half watch the CBS Sunday Show. Some Sundays I enjoy most of the segments, other Sundays I think they're all pretty lame. Today's were lame. I washed up the dishes (don't always wash them the night before), returned a jigsaw puzzle to the collection downstairs (didn't like it) and picked up two others. I'll start working on that when I finish this blog post.  I took out the trash and I must say, I'm happy I only have to push my walker down the hall to the laundry room to unload it. When I lived in Port Angeles, I had to put this  heavy bin down to the alley and then pull it back again. It was hard.

I also picked up a couple of audio books while I was down in the library.  May try them out later while I'm working on the puzzle.

Just to keep myself busy, I've been going from one hobby to another. I gave my latest collection of rocks a white coat of paint and will paint the other sides of them tomorrow.

I have two or three sewing projects in the works. Am tryint out these quilt square patterns I saw on youtube. The first one you sew nine squares together and then cut them down the middle and across the middle. You take those four pieces and rearrrange into other designs.

The second project is sewing four squares together and cutting them down on all four sides. Then you take the various pieces and move them around to make a different look. Kind of hard to explain but here's a sample.

The various materials I've used are all just fabrics I pulled out of a bin. There's no rhyme or reason of why they're together. Will be interesting to see how they all come out. More than likely, it will look stupid. haha

I started watching this show on Hulu last night called Will Trent. It has two episodes and while I wanted to watch both, I got too tired. Am really curious, though, to find out who the killer was and  the acting was pretty good. I had the Seahawks on for a while yesterday but lost interest when it looked like they were losing but good. Golf is on now. It helps soothe me.

I just noticed that I already complained about my foam mattress on my last post. I've got to try and remember to read back what I've written so I'm not repeating myself.

While I was sewing this morning, I found I didn't like the arrangement of my sewing area. This happens frequently and I'm forever moving things around.  I was trying real hard to be quiet so as not to bother the lady on the other side of the wall. When I was going downstairs (and this was early) I saw her come in from outside. Come to find out she was housesitting and not even home. She looked tired. Poor thing. She told me she HAD to take the package when she moved in so that required trying to make some side money. I told her I completely understood that. I think it's a shame the way they make you sign up for a year to eat the food here. Especially when the food isn't very good. I'm thankful I'm off the "package."

Another lady down the hall the other way is going around the bend I think. She had some mental problems when she moved in last year I was pretty sure and now the poor thing is getting worse. Won't be long before her kids have to move her I suspect. I wonder if that will happen to me.

Boy, it sure got dark in here all of a sudden. Like the sun went behind a big ole cloud and it's gonna rain. Trees are blowing quite a bit so I suppose it's cold out there. Isn't that a brilliant statement to make in the middle of January.

Took some deer pictures when I went for a ride through town yesterday. They were climbing the cliff downtown and holding up traffic in the process. I took their picture and then drove up on Washington to catch them when they got to the top.

I'm thinking I'm going to go into the bathroom and start cutting my hair. I had my friend cut it for me but told her to leave it kind of long on top since I continue to lose hair up there. Now I'm at the point where even curling it with an iron isn't  helping all that much. I may end up having to use a wig daily. Such a nuisance.

Well, gotta get going on my puzzle. Not much on my agenda this week outside of the same ole stuff I'm doing today. Maybe I'll go check out youtube and see what kind of a video I can share on here. Sorry to complain about my body aches but some times that's all I got. Here's some fun commercials to remember
