I knew I wasn't going to do too much today. Wanted to sit and put my feet up. Which I did pretty much. I worked on my latest jigsaw puzzle and did some reading. It's not often that I do very little and I must admit, I kind of liked it. I'm reading Sacajawea, a 70's book that I read in the 70s but I don't remember any of it. I did remember that I always liked that book. It's going to take me a while to get through it as it's a thick book and I still have problems staying awake when I sit down to read.
The manager came here yesterday to have me sign my recertification paperwork. I can't for the life of me figure out why but my rent went down $79! Say what?! My income hasn't changed except for a slight SS increase so I was expecting to get an increase in rent. I'll take it that's for sure.
Tomorrow I have a couple of friends dropping in to pick up a book and then Friday will be my book party at 11. My daughter is coming down to help me set out chairs and cookies and take pictures. Should be fun even though it's just a short little meeting.
I finally got a call from the surgeon's office in Silverdale and I'm set up to have an appt on Feb. 20th. I have my fingers crossed that he'll have a solution for me.
My daughter Mary is stopping in for a short visit on the 21st after helping her dad move in to Avamere next door.
I was watching 'The Last of Us' on HBO (SO GOOD!) but sadly, I discovered I'm caught up on the episodes and the rest will appear on Sundays. Which means I have to stay subscribed to HBO longer than the month I originally planned. That's okay, though. They have an awful lot of stuff featured that I know I'd like to watch. I'm also watching a comedy called "White Lotus" and it is also very good.
For some reason, my minute timer has quit working. So odd as it's not that old and is used sparingly whenever I decide to bake. I never understand why gadgets just give up the ghost. I still have my Echo though so I can tell Alexa to set my alarm as needed. I bought this needle threader on Amazon the other day as my automatic needle threader on my sewing machine quit working and I often have a hard time getting the thread in the small eye of the needle. It's a handy little gadget EXCEPT I can't figure out how it works! I even watched a video on youtube over and over again. My neighbor, Rose, came over to see if she could figure it out and no luck there either. Joanne Bennett is coming by tomorrow to see if she can help me. I'm betting she can.
Here's a cute cartoon I saw on Facebook and a bunch of old PT pictures that a guy posted. Most were from the historical society website online.

My sister's move to a handicap apt across the hall has been postponed until Feb. 26. Anybody want to drop in to help, it would be appreciated.
